Nodes:
Network nodes represent proteins
splice isoforms or post-translational modifications are collapsed, i.e. each node represents all the proteins produced by a single, protein-coding gene locus.
Node Color
colored nodes:
query proteins and first shell of interactors
white nodes:
second shell of interactors
Node Content
empty nodes:
proteins of unknown 3D structure
filled nodes:
a 3D structure is known or predicted
Edges:
Edges represent protein-protein associations
associations are meant to be specific and meaningful, i.e. proteins jointly contribute to a shared function; this does not necessarily mean they are physically binding to each other.
Known Interactions
from curated databases
experimentally determined
Predicted Interactions
gene neighborhood
gene fusions
gene co-occurrence
Others
textmining
co-expression
protein homology

rnpABacterial ribonuclease P protein component; RNaseP catalyzes the removal of the 5'-leader sequence from pre-tRNA to produce the mature 5'-terminus. It can also cleave other RNA substrates such as 4.5S RNA. The protein component plays an auxiliary but essential role in vivo by binding to the 5'-leader sequence and broadening the substrate specificity of the ribozyme. (129 aa)
Predicted Functional Partners:
rpl34
50S ribosomal protein L34; Belongs to the bacterial ribosomal protein bL34 family.

 0.988
yidC
Similar to 60 kDa inner membrane protein family; COG706 Preprotein translocase subunit YidC [Intracellular trafficking and secretion].

 0.963
ABM71681.1
Uncharacterized conserved protein; Could be involved in insertion of integral membrane proteins into the membrane; Belongs to the UPF0161 family.

 0.941
ABM72564.1
Conserved hypothetical protein.
       0.828
rpsJ
30S ribosomal protein S10; Involved in the binding of tRNA to the ribosomes. Belongs to the universal ribosomal protein uS10 family.

 0.812
rplD
50S ribosomal protein L4; One of the primary rRNA binding proteins, this protein initially binds near the 5'-end of the 23S rRNA. It is important during the early stages of 50S assembly. It makes multiple contacts with different domains of the 23S rRNA in the assembled 50S subunit and ribosome.

 0.808
rpsL
30S ribosomal protein S12; With S4 and S5 plays an important role in translational accuracy.

    0.806
rplC
50S ribosomal protein L3; One of the primary rRNA binding proteins, it binds directly near the 3'-end of the 23S rRNA, where it nucleates assembly of the 50S subunit; Belongs to the universal ribosomal protein uL3 family.

 0.783
ABM71376.1
Putative molecular chaperone; Inactive homolog of metal-dependent proteases.

    0.782
pnp
Polyribonucleotide nucleotidyltransferase; Involved in mRNA degradation. Catalyzes the phosphorolysis of single-stranded polyribonucleotides processively in the 3'- to 5'- direction.
