Nodes:
Network nodes represent proteins
splice isoforms or post-translational modifications are collapsed, i.e. each node represents all the proteins produced by a single, protein-coding gene locus.
Node Color
colored nodes:
query proteins and first shell of interactors
white nodes:
second shell of interactors
Node Content
empty nodes:
proteins of unknown 3D structure
filled nodes:
a 3D structure is known or predicted
Edges:
Edges represent protein-protein associations
associations are meant to be specific and meaningful, i.e. proteins jointly contribute to a shared function; this does not necessarily mean they are physically binding to each other.
Known Interactions
from curated databases
experimentally determined
Predicted Interactions
gene neighborhood
gene fusions
gene co-occurrence
Others
textmining
co-expression
protein homology

tilBProtein tilB; Touch insensitive larva B (tilB) encodes a protein required for the assembly and/or transport to the cilium of axonemal dynein arms. tilB depletion results in deafness and male sterility because it specifically affects chordotonal neurons and spermatids, the only fly motile cilia cells. It interacts with the product of Zmynd10, which has a similar distribution and mutant phenotype. (395 aa)
Predicted Functional Partners:
Zmynd10
Zinc finger MYND domain-containing protein 10 homolog; Plays a role in axonemal structure organization and motility. May be involved in axonemal pre-assembly of inner and outer dynein arms (IDA and ODA, respectively) for proper axoneme building for cilia motility; Belongs to the ZMYND10 family.

 0.888
btv
Beethoven (btv) encodes the minor cytoplasmic dynein heavy chain, which is the retrograde motor for intraflagellar transport. It is required for the proper assembly of the sensory cilia in chordotonal organs. It contributes to hearing and other chordotonal-dependent functions such as larval locomotion.

 0.830
CG17669
Dynein assembly factor 3, axonemal homolog; Required for the assembly of axonemal inner and outer dynein arms; Belongs to the DNAAF3 family.

 0.805
HEATR2
Dynein assembly factor 5, axonemal; Cytoplasmic protein involved in the delivery of the dynein machinery to the motile cilium. It is required for the assembly of the axonemal dynein inner and outer arms, two structures attached to the peripheral outer doublet A microtubule of the axoneme, that play a crucial role in cilium motility.

 0.744
CG9313
Uncharacterized protein, isoform B; Dynein light chain binding; dynein heavy chain binding. It is involved in the biological process described with: cilium movement; outer dynein arm assembly; microtubule-based movement; sensory perception of sound.

 0.714
Dnali1
Putative inner dynein arm light chain, axonemal; May play a dynamic role in flagellar motility.

 0.706
Spag1
Spag1 axonemal dynein assembly factor; Heat shock protein binding. It is involved in the biological process described with: protein targeting to mitochondrion.

 0.655
CG14905
Uncharacterized protein.

 0.646
Wdr92
WD repeat domain 92; Protein domain specific binding; ubiquitin binding. It is involved in the biological process described with: positive regulation of transcription by RNA polymerase II; calcineurin-NFAT signaling cascade.

 0.644
CG11356
Uncharacterized protein; GTP binding. It is involved in the biological process described with: cilium assembly.
