Rec8 | Meiotic recombination protein REC8 homolog; Required during meiosis for separation of sister chromatids and homologous chromosomes. Proteolytic cleavage of REC8 on chromosome arms by separin during anaphase I allows for homologous chromosome separation in meiosis I and cleavage of REC8 on centromeres during anaphase II allows for sister chromatid separation in meiosis II. Phf20 | PHD finger protein 20; Contributes to methyllysine-dependent p53/TP53 stabilization and up-regulation after DNA damage (By similarity). Methyllysine- binding protein, component of the MOF histone acetyltransferase protein complex. Not required for maintaining the global histone H4 'Lys-16' acetylation (H4K16ac) levels or locus specific histone acetylation, but instead works downstream in transcriptional regulation of MOF target genes. As part of the NSL complex it may be involved in acetylation of nucleosomal histone H4 on several lysine residues. (1010 aa) |
