Ncoa2 | Nuclear receptor coactivator 2; Transcriptional coactivator for steroid receptors and nuclear receptors. Coactivator of the steroid binding domain (AF-2) but not of the modulating N-terminal domain (AF-1). Required with NCOA1 to control energy balance between white and brown adipose tissues. Critical regulator of glucose metabolism regulation, acts as RORA coactivator to specifically modulate G6PC expression. Involved in the positive regulation of the transcriptional activity of the glucocorticoid receptor NR3C1 by sumoylation enhancer RWDD3. Positively regulates the circadian clock by [...] (1462 aa) | ||||
Acot4 | Peroxisomal succinyl-coenzyme A thioesterase; Acyl-CoA thioesterases are a group of enzymes that catalyze the hydrolysis of acyl-CoAs to the free fatty acid and coenzyme A (CoASH), providing the potential to regulate intracellular levels of acyl-CoAs, free fatty acids and CoASH. In contrast to human peroxisomal succinyl-coenzyme A thioesterase/ACOT4, mouse ACOT4 is essentially a succinyl-CoA thioesterase with no activity with medium to long chain saturated acyl- CoAs and with a low activity toward glutaryl-CoA. Belongs to the C/M/P thioester hydrolase family. (421 aa) |
