Arid3a | AT-rich interactive domain-containing protein 3A; Transcription factor involved in B-cell differentiation. Binds a VH promoter proximal site necessary for induced mu-heavy-chain transcription. Binds the minor groove of a restricted ATC sequence that is sufficient for nuclear matrix association. This sequence motif is present in matrix-associating regions (MARS) proximal to the promoter and flanking E mu. Activates E mu-driven transcription by binding these sites. May be involved in the control of cell cycle progression by the RB1/E2F1 pathway. (601 aa) | ||||
Fscn1 | Fascin; Actin-binding protein that contains 2 major actin binding sites (By similarity). Organizes filamentous actin into parallel bundles. Plays a role in the organization of actin filament bundles and the formation of microspikes, membrane ruffles, and stress fibers (By similarity). Important for the formation of a diverse set of cell protrusions, such as filopodia, and for cell motility and migration. Mediates reorganization of the actin cytoskeleton and axon growth cone collapse in response to NGF (By similarity). (493 aa) |
