Nfkb1 | Nuclear factor NF-kappa-B p105 subunit; NF-kappa-B is a pleiotropic transcription factor present in almost all cell types and is the endpoint of a series of signal transduction events that are initiated by a vast array of stimuli related to many biological processes such as inflammation, immunity, differentiation, cell growth, tumorigenesis and apoptosis. NF-kappa-B is a homo- or heterodimeric complex formed by the Rel-like domain- containing proteins RELA/p65, RELB, NFKB1/p105, NFKB1/p50, REL and NFKB2/p52 and the heterodimeric p65-p50 complex appears to be most abundant one. Ovol2 | Transcription factor Ovo-like 2; Zinc-finger transcription repressor factor. Plays a critical role in maintaining the identity of epithelial lineages by suppressing epithelial-to mesenchymal transition (EMT) mainly through the repression of ZEB1, an EMT inducer. Positively regulates neuronal differentiation. Suppresses cell cycling and terminal differentiation of keratinocytes by directly repressing MYC and NOTCH1 (By similarity). Important for the correct development of primordial germ cells in embryos. Belongs to the krueppel C2H2-type zinc-finger protein family. (274 aa) |
