Kat8 | Histone acetyltransferase KAT8; Histone acetyltransferase which may be involved in transcriptional activation. May influence the function of ATM. As part of the MSL complex it is involved in acetylation of nucleosomal histone H4 producing specifically H4K16ac. As part of the NSL complex it may be involved in acetylation of nucleosomal histone H4 on several lysine residues. That activity is less specific than the one of the MSL complex. Can also acetylate TP53/p53 at 'Lys-120'. Belongs to the MYST (SAS/MOZ) family. (458 aa) | ||||
Sptlc1 | Serine palmitoyltransferase 1; Serine palmitoyltransferase (SPT). The heterodimer formed with SPTLC2 or SPTLC3 constitutes the catalytic core. The composition of the serine palmitoyltransferase (SPT) complex determines the substrate preference. The SPTLC1-SPTLC2-SPTSSA complex shows a strong preference for C16-CoA substrate, while the SPTLC1- SPTLC3-SPTSSA isozyme uses both C14-CoA and C16-CoA as substrates. The SPTLC1-SPTLC2-SPTSSB complex displays a strong preference for C18-CoA substrate, while the SPTLC1-SPTLC3-SPTSSB isozyme has the ability to use a broader range of acyl-CoAs (By [...] (473 aa) |
