Kat8 | Histone acetyltransferase KAT8; Histone acetyltransferase which may be involved in transcriptional activation. May influence the function of ATM. As part of the MSL complex it is involved in acetylation of nucleosomal histone H4 producing specifically H4K16ac. As part of the NSL complex it may be involved in acetylation of nucleosomal histone H4 on several lysine residues. That activity is less specific than the one of the MSL complex. Can also acetylate TP53/p53 at 'Lys-120'. Belongs to the MYST (SAS/MOZ) family. (458 aa) | ||||
Cisd2 | CDGSH iron-sulfur domain-containing protein 2; Regulator of autophagy that contributes to antagonize BECN1- mediated cellular autophagy at the endoplasmic reticulum. Participates in the interaction of BCL2 with BECN1 and is required for BCL2-mediated depression of endoplasmic reticulum Ca(2+) stores during autophagy. Contributes to BIK-initiated autophagy, while it is not involved in BIK-dependent activation of caspases. Involved in life span control, probably via its function as regulator of autophagy (By similarity). Belongs to the CISD protein family. CISD2 subfamily. (135 aa) |
