Kmt2c | Histone-lysine N-methyltransferase 2C; Histone methyltransferase. Methylates 'Lys-4' of histone H3. H3 'Lys-4' methylation represents a specific tag for epigenetic transcriptional activation. Central component of the MLL2/3 complex, a coactivator complex of nuclear receptors, involved in transcriptional coactivation. KMT2C/MLL3 may be a catalytic subunit of this complex (By similarity). Gal3st1 | Galactosylceramide sulfotransferase; Catalyzes the sulfation of membrane glycolipids. Seems to prefer beta-glycosides at the non-reducing termini of sugar chains attached to a lipid moiety. Catalyzes the synthesis of HSO3-3- galactosylceramide (sulfatide), a major lipid component of the myelin sheath and of HSO3-3-monogalactosylalkylacylglycerol (seminolipid), present in spermatocytes. Also acts on lactosylceramide, galactosyl 1- alkyl-2-sn-glycerol and galactosyl diacylglycerol (in vitro). (423 aa) |
