Mcrs1 | Microspherule protein 1; Modulates the transcription repressor activity of DAXX by recruiting it to the nucleolus. As part of the NSL complex it may be involved in acetylation of nucleosomal histone H4 on several lysine residues. Putative regulatory component of the chromatin remodeling INO80 complex which is involved in transcriptional regulation, DNA replication and probably DNA repair. May also be an inhibitor of TERT telomerase activity. Binds to G-quadruplex structures in mRNA. Binds to RNA homopolymer poly(G) and poly(U). (462 aa) | ||||
Xrn1 | 5'-3' exoribonuclease 1; Major 5'-3' exoribonuclease involved in mRNA decay. Required for the 5'-3'-processing of the G4 tetraplex-containing DNA and RNA substrates. The kinetic of hydrolysis is faster for G4 RNA tetraplex than for G4 DNA tetraplex and monomeric RNA tetraplex. Binds to RNA and DNA. Plays a role in replication-dependent histone mRNA degradation (By similarity). (1723 aa) |
