Tbr1 | T-box brain protein 1; Transcriptional repressor involved in multiple aspects of cortical development, including neuronal migration, laminar and areal identity, and axonal projection. As transcriptional repressor of FEZF2, it blocks the formation of the corticospinal (CS) tract from layer 6 projection neurons, thereby restricting the origin of CS axons specifically to layer 5 neurons. Gsdma | Gasdermin-A; May promote pyroptosis. Upon cleavage in vitro of genetically engineered GSDMA, the released N-terminal moiety binds to some types of lipids, such as possibly phosphatidylinositol (4,5)-bisphosphate. Homooligomerizes within the membrane and forms pores of 10 -15 nanometers (nm) of inner diameter, triggering cell death. Also binds to bacterial and mitochondrial lipids, including cardiolipin, and exhibits bactericidal activity. The physiological relevance of these observations is unknown; Belongs to the gasdermin family. (446 aa) |
