Nelfb | Negative elongation factor B; Essential component of the NELF complex, a complex that negatively regulates the elongation of transcription by RNA polymerase II (Pol II). The NELF complex, which acts via an association with the DSIF complex and causes transcriptional pausing, is counteracted by the P-TEFb kinase complex (By similarity). May be able to induce chromatin unfolding (By similarity). Essential for early embryogenesis; plays an important role in maintaining the undifferentiated state of embryonic stem cells (ESCs) by preventing unscheduled expression of developmental genes. Tmtc4 | Protein O-mannosyl-transferase TMTC4; Transfers mannosyl residues to the hydroxyl group of serine or threonine residues. The 4 members of the TMTC family are O-mannosyl- transferases dedicated primarily to the cadherin superfamily, each member seems to have a distinct role in decorating the cadherin domains with O-linked mannose glycans at specific regions. Also acts as O- mannosyl-transferase on other proteins such as PDIA3. (741 aa) |
