Tfe3 | Transcription factor E3; Transcription factor that specifically recognizes and binds E-box sequences (5'-CANNTG-3'). Efficient DNA-binding requires dimerization with itself or with another MiT/TFE family member such as TFEB or MITF. In association with TFEB, activates the expression of CD40L in T-cells, thereby playing a role in T-cell-dependent antibody responses in activated CD4(+) T-cells and thymus-dependent humoral immunity. Specifically recognizes the MUE3 box, a subset of E-boxes, present in the immunoglobulin enhancer (By similarity). It also binds very well to a USF/MLTF site [...] (572 aa) | ||||
Kcns3 | Potassium voltage-gated channel subfamily S member 3; Potassium channel subunit that does not form functional channels by itself. Can form functional heterotetrameric channels with KCNB1; modulates the delayed rectifier voltage-gated potassium channel activation and deactivation rates of KCNB1. Heterotetrameric channel activity formed with KCNB1 show increased current amplitude with the threshold for action potential activation shifted towards more negative values in hypoxic-treated pulmonary artery smooth muscle cells. Belongs to the potassium channel family. S (TC 1.A.1.2) subfamily. [...] (491 aa) |
