Elk4 | ETS domain-containing protein Elk-4; Involved in both transcriptional activation and repression. Interaction with SIRT7 leads to recruitment and stabilization of SIRT7 at promoters, followed by deacetylation of histone H3 at 'Lys-18' (H3K18Ac) and subsequent transcription repression. Forms a ternary complex with the serum response factor (SRF). Requires DNA-bound SRF for ternary complex formation and makes extensive DNA contacts to the 5'side of SRF, but does not bind DNA autonomously (By similarity). Belongs to the ETS family. Ube2o | (E3-independent) E2 ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme UBE2O; E2/E3 hybrid ubiquitin-protein ligase that displays both E2 and E3 ligase activities and mediates monoubiquitination of target proteins. Negatively regulates TRAF6-mediated NF-kappa-B activation independently of its E2 activity. Acts as a positive regulator of BMP7 signaling by mediating monoubiquitination of SMAD6, thereby regulating adipogenesis. Mediates monoubiquitination at different sites of the nuclear localization signal (NLS) of BAP1, leading to cytoplasmic retention of BAP1. Also able to monoubiquitinate the NLS of other [...] (1288 aa) |
