Maff | Transcription factor MafF; Since they lack a putative transactivation domain, the small Mafs behave as transcriptional repressors when they dimerize among themselves. However, they seem to serve as transcriptional activators by dimerizing with other (usually larger) basic-zipper proteins, such as NFE2L1/NRF1, and recruiting them to specific DNA-binding sites. Interacts with the upstream promoter region of the oxytocin receptor gene. May be a transcriptional enhancer in the up-regulation of the oxytocin receptor gene at parturition. (156 aa) | ||||
Wdr1 | WD repeat-containing protein 1; Induces disassembly of actin filaments in conjunction with ADF/cofilin family proteins (By similarity). Enhances cofilin-mediated actin severing. Involved in cytokinesis. Involved in chemotactic cell migration by restricting lamellipodial membrane protrusions (By similarity). Involved in myocardium sarcomere organization. Required for cardiomyocyte growth at the postnatal and maintenance at the adult stage. Involved in neutrophil actin dynamics and migration. Involved in megakaryocyte maturation and platelet shedding. Required for the establishment of pl [...] (606 aa) |
