Zfp281 | Zinc finger protein 281; Transcription repressor that plays a role in regulation of embryonic stem cells (ESCs) differentiation. Required for ESCs differentiation and acts by mediating autorepression of NANOG in ESCs: binds to the NANOG promoter and promotes association of NANOG protein to its own promoter and recruits the NuRD complex, which deacetylates histones. Not required for establishement and maintenance of ESCs. Represses the transcription of a number of genes including GAST, ODC1 and VIM. Binds to the G-rich box in the enhancer region of these genes. Fchsd2 | F-BAR and double SH3 domains protein 2; Adapter protein that plays a role in endocytosis via clathrin-coated pits. Contributes to the internalization of cell surface receptors, such as integrin ITGB1 and transferrin receptor. Promotes endocytosis of EGFR in cancer cells, and thereby contributes to the down-regulation of EGFR signaling. Recruited to clathrin-coated pits during a mid-to-late stage of assembly, where it is required for normal progress from U-shaped intermediate stage pits to terminal, omega-shaped pits. Binds to membranes enriched in phosphatidylinositol 3,4-bisphosphate [...] (764 aa) |
