Zfp281 | Zinc finger protein 281; Transcription repressor that plays a role in regulation of embryonic stem cells (ESCs) differentiation. Required for ESCs differentiation and acts by mediating autorepression of NANOG in ESCs: binds to the NANOG promoter and promotes association of NANOG protein to its own promoter and recruits the NuRD complex, which deacetylates histones. Not required for establishement and maintenance of ESCs. Represses the transcription of a number of genes including GAST, ODC1 and VIM. Binds to the G-rich box in the enhancer region of these genes. Slc3a2 | 4F2 cell-surface antigen heavy chain; Component of several heterodimeric amino acid transporter complexes. The precise substrate specificity depends on the other subunit in the heterodimer. The heterodimer with SLC3A2 functions as sodium-independent, high-affinity transporter that mediates uptake of large neutral amino acids such as phenylalanine, tyrosine, L-DOPA, leucine, histidine, methionine and tryptophan. The complexes with SLC7A6 and SLC7A7 mediate uptake of dibasic amino acids. The complexes function as amino acid exchangers (By similarity). Required for targeting of SLC7A5 and [...] (565 aa) |
