Tcf4 | Transcription factor 4; Transcription factor that binds to the immunoglobulin enhancer Mu-E5/KE5-motif. Involved in the initiation of neuronal differentiation. Activates transcription by binding to the E box (5'- CANNTG-3'). Isoform 2 inhibits MYOD1 activation of the cardiac alpha- actin promoter. Binds to the E-box present in the somatostatin receptor 2 initiator element (SSTR2-INR) to activate transcription. Stxbp5 | Syntaxin-binding protein 5; Plays a regulatory role in calcium-dependent exocytosis and neurotransmitter release (By similarity). Inhibits membrane fusion between transport vesicles and the plasma membrane. May modulate the assembly of trans-SNARE complexes between transport vesicles and the plasma membrane. Competes with STXBP1 for STX1 binding. Inhibits translocation of GLUT4 from intracellular vesicles to the plasma membrane. (1116 aa) |
