Meis1 | Homeobox protein Meis1; Acts as a transcriptional regulator of PAX6. Also acts as a transcriptional activator of PF4 in complex with PBX1 or PBX2. Required for hematopoiesis, megakaryocyte lineage development and vascular patterning. May function as a cofactor for HOXA7 and HOXA9 in the induction of myeloid leukemias; Belongs to the TALE/MEIS homeobox family. (465 aa) | ||||
Plod1 | Procollagen-lysine,2-oxoglutarate 5-dioxygenase 1; Part of a complex composed of PLOD1, P3H3 and P3H4 that catalyzes hydroxylation of lysine residues in collagen alpha chains and is required for normal assembly and cross-linkling of collagen fibrils. Forms hydroxylysine residues in -Xaa-Lys- Gly- sequences in collagens (By similarity). These hydroxylysines serve as sites of attachment for carbohydrate units and are essential for the stability of the intermolecular collagen cross-links. (728 aa) |
