Terf1 | Telomeric repeat-binding factor 1; Binds the telomeric double-stranded 5'-TTAGGG-3' repeat and negatively regulates telomere length. Involved in the regulation of the mitotic spindle. Component of the shelterin complex (telosome) that is involved in the regulation of telomere length and protection. Shelterin associates with arrays of double-stranded 5'-TTAGGG-3' repeats added by telomerase and protects chromosome ends; without its protective activity, telomeres are no longer hidden from the DNA damage surveillance and chromosome ends are inappropriately processed by DNA repair pathways. Ino80 | Chromatin-remodeling ATPase INO80; ATPase component of the chromatin remodeling INO80 complex which is involved in transcriptional regulation, DNA replication and DNA repair. Binds DNA. As part of the INO80 complex, remodels chromatin by shifting nucleosomes. Regulates transcription upon recruitment by YY1 to YY1-activated genes, where it acts as an essential coactivator. Involved in UV-damage excision DNA repair. The contribution to DNA double-strand break repair appears to be largely indirect through transcriptional regulation. Involved in DNA replication.
