POLR2C | DNA-directed RNA polymerase II subunit RPB3; DNA-dependent RNA polymerase catalyzes the transcription of DNA into RNA using the four ribonucleoside triphosphates as substrates. Component of RNA polymerase II which synthesizes mRNA precursors and many functional non-coding RNAs. Pol II is the central component of the basal RNA polymerase II transcription machinery. It is composed of mobile elements that move relative to each other. RPB3 is part of the core element with the central large cleft and the clamp element that moves to open and close the cleft (By similarity). (275 aa) | ||||
CLYBL | Citramalyl-CoA lyase, mitochondrial; Mitochondrial citramalyl-CoA lyase indirectly involved in the vitamin B12 metabolism. Converts citramalyl-CoA into acetyl-CoA and pyruvate in the C5-dicarboxylate catabolism pathway. The C5-dicarboxylate catabolism pathway is required to detoxify itaconate, a vitamin B12-poisoning metabolite. Also acts as a malate synthase in vitro, converting glyoxylate and acetyl-CoA to malate. Also displays malyl-CoA thioesterase activity. Also acts as a beta-methylmalate synthase in vitro, by mediating conversion of glyoxylate and propionyl-CoA to beta-methylmal [...] (340 aa) |
