LMTK3 | Serine/threonine-protein kinase LMTK3; Protein kinase which phosphorylates ESR1 (in vitro) and protects it against proteasomal degradation. May also regulate ESR1 levels indirectly via a PKC-AKT-FOXO3 pathway where it decreases the activity of PKC and the phosphorylation of AKT, thereby increasing binding of transcriptional activator FOXO3 to the ESR1 promoter and increasing ESR1 transcription. Involved in endocytic trafficking of N-methyl-D-aspartate receptors (NMDAR) in neurons (By similarity). (1489 aa) | ||||
NACA2 | Nascent polypeptide-associated complex subunit alpha-2; Prevents inappropriate targeting of non-secretory polypeptides to the endoplasmic reticulum (ER). Binds to nascent polypeptide chains as they emerge from the ribosome and blocks their interaction with the signal recognition particle (SRP), which normally targets nascent secretory peptides to the ER. Also reduces the inherent affinity of ribosomes for protein translocation sites in the ER membrane (M sites) (By similarity). (215 aa) |
