ZBTB16 | Zinc finger and BTB domain-containing protein 16; Acts as a transcriptional repressor. May play a role in myeloid maturation and in the development and/or maintenance of other differentiated tissues. Probable substrate- recognition component of an E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase complex which mediates the ubiquitination and subsequent proteasomal degradation of target proteins ; Belongs to the krueppel C2H2-type zinc-finger protein family. DUSP28 | Dual specificity phosphatase 28; Has phosphatase activity with the synthetic substrate 6,8- difluoro-4-methylumbelliferyl phosphate (in vitro). Has almost no detectable activity with phosphotyrosine, even less activity with phosphothreonine and displays complete lack of activity with phosphoserine. The poor activity with phosphotyrosine may be due to steric hindrance by bulky amino acid sidechains that obstruct access to the active site ; Belongs to the protein-tyrosine phosphatase family. Non- receptor class dual specificity subfamily. (176 aa) |
