MCRS1 | Microspherule protein 1; Modulates the transcription repressor activity of DAXX by recruiting it to the nucleolus. As part of the NSL complex it may be involved in acetylation of nucleosomal histone H4 on several lysine residues. Putative regulatory component of the chromatin remodeling INO80 complex which is involved in transcriptional regulation, DNA replication and probably DNA repair. May also be an inhibitor of TERT telomerase activity. Binds to G-quadruplex structures in mRNA. Binds to RNA homopolymer poly(G) and poly(U). (475 aa) | ||||
THOC1 | THO complex subunit 1; Required for efficient export of polyadenylated RNA. Acts as component of the THO subcomplex of the TREX complex which is thought to couple mRNA transcription, processing and nuclear export, and which specifically associates with spliced mRNA and not with unspliced pre- mRNA. TREX is recruited to spliced mRNAs by a transcription-independent mechanism, binds to mRNA upstream of the exon-junction complex (EJC) and is recruited in a splicing- and cap-dependent manner to a region near the 5' end of the mRNA where it functions in mRNA export to the cytoplasm via the T [...] (657 aa) |
