CUX1 | Homeobox protein cut-like 1; Transcription factor involved in the control of neuronal differentiation in the brain. Regulates dendrite development and branching, and dendritic spine formation in cortical layers II-III. Also involved in the control of synaptogenesis. In addition, it has probably a broad role in mammalian development as a repressor of developmentally regulated gene expression. May act by preventing binding of positively-activing CCAAT factors to promoters. Component of nf-munr repressor; binds to the matrix attachment regions (MARs) (5' and 3') of the immunoglobulin heav [...] (1516 aa) | ||||
ITGA8 | Integrin alpha-8 heavy chain; Integrin alpha-8/beta-1 functions in the genesis of kidney and probably of other organs by regulating the recruitment of mesenchymal cells into epithelial structures. It recognizes the sequence R-G-D in a wide array of ligands including TNC, FN1, SPP1 TGFB1, TGFB3 and VTN. NPNT is probably its functional ligand in kidney genesis. Neuronal receptor for TNC it mediates cell-cell interactions and regulates neurite outgrowth of sensory and motor neurons. (1063 aa) |
