GTF2B | Transcription initiation factor IIB; General transcription factor that plays a role in transcription initiation by RNA polymerase II (Pol II). Involved in the pre-initiation complex (PIC) formation and Pol II recruitment at promoter DNA. Together with the TATA box-bound TBP forms the core initiation complex and provides a bridge between TBP and the Pol II-TFIIF complex. Released from the PIC early following the onset of transcription during the initiation and elongation transition and reassociates with TBP during the next transcription cycle. Associates with chromatin to core promoter- [...] (316 aa) | ||||
ARSB | Arylsulfatase B; Removes sulfate groups from chondroitin-4-sulfate (C4S) and regulates its degradation. Involved in the regulation of cell adhesion, cell migration and invasion in colonic epithelium. In the central nervous system, is a regulator of neurite outgrowth and neuronal plasticity, acting through the control of sulfate glycosaminoglycans and neurocan levels (By similarity). Belongs to the sulfatase family. (533 aa) |
