HIVEP3 | Transcription factor HIVEP3; Plays a role of transcription factor; binds to recognition signal sequences (Rss heptamer) for somatic recombination of immunoglobulin and T-cell receptor gene segments; Binds also to the kappa-B motif of gene such as S100A4, involved in cell progression and differentiation. Kappa-B motif is a gene regulatory element found in promoters and enhancers of genes involved in immunity, inflammation, and growth and that responds to viral antigens, mitogens, and cytokines. Involvement of HIVEP3 in cell growth is strengthened by the fact that its down-regulation pro [...] (2406 aa) | ||||
NELFE | Negative elongation factor E; Essential component of the NELF complex, a complex that negatively regulates the elongation of transcription by RNA polymerase II. The NELF complex, which acts via an association with the DSIF complex and causes transcriptional pausing, is counteracted by the P-TEFb kinase complex. Provides the strongest RNA binding activity of the NELF complex and may initially recruit the NELF complex to RNA. Belongs to the RRM NELF-E family. (380 aa) |
