NELFE | Negative elongation factor E; Essential component of the NELF complex, a complex that negatively regulates the elongation of transcription by RNA polymerase II. The NELF complex, which acts via an association with the DSIF complex and causes transcriptional pausing, is counteracted by the P-TEFb kinase complex. Provides the strongest RNA binding activity of the NELF complex and may initially recruit the NELF complex to RNA. Belongs to the RRM NELF-E family. (380 aa) | ||||
CEP68 | Centrosomal protein of 68 kDa; Involved in maintenance of centrosome cohesion, probably as part of a linker structure which prevents centrosome splitting. Required for localization of CDK5RAP2 to the centrosome during interphase. (757 aa) |
