NKX3-1 | Homeobox protein Nkx-3.1; Transcription factor, which binds preferentially the consensus sequence 5'-TAAGT[AG]-3' and can behave as a transcriptional repressor. Plays an important role in normal prostate development, regulating proliferation of glandular epithelium and in the formation of ducts in prostate. Acts as a tumor suppressor controlling prostate carcinogenesis, as shown by the ability to inhibit proliferation and invasion activities of PC-3 prostate cancer cells. Belongs to the NK-3 homeobox family. (234 aa) | ||||
TNS3 | Tensin-3; May play a role in actin remodeling. Involved in the dissociation of the integrin-tensin-actin complex. EGF activates TNS4 and down-regulates TNS3 which results in capping the tail of ITGB1. Seems to be involved in mammary cell migration. May be involved in cell migration and bone development (By similarity); Belongs to the PTEN phosphatase protein family. (1445 aa) |
