TBL1XR1 | F-box-like/WD repeat-containing protein TBL1XR1; F-box-like protein involved in the recruitment of the ubiquitin/19S proteasome complex to nuclear receptor-regulated transcription units. Plays an essential role in transcription activation mediated by nuclear receptors. Probably acts as integral component of the N-Cor corepressor complex that mediates the recruitment of the 19S proteasome complex, leading to the subsequent proteasomal degradation of N-Cor complex, thereby allowing cofactor exchange, and transcription activation; Belongs to the WD repeat EBI family. XRN1 | 5'-3' exoribonuclease 1; Major 5'-3' exoribonuclease involved in mRNA decay. Required for the 5'-3'-processing of the G4 tetraplex-containing DNA and RNA substrates. The kinetic of hydrolysis is faster for G4 RNA tetraplex than for G4 DNA tetraplex and monomeric RNA tetraplex. Binds to RNA and DNA (By similarity). Plays a role in replication-dependent histone mRNA degradation. May act as a tumor suppressor protein in osteogenic sarcoma (OGS). (1706 aa) |
