INTS12 | Integrator complex subunit 12; Component of the Integrator complex, a complex involved in the small nuclear RNAs (snRNA) U1 and U2 transcription and in their 3'- box-dependent processing. The Integrator complex is associated with the C-terminal domain (CTD) of RNA polymerase II largest subunit (POLR2A) and is recruited to the U1 and U2 snRNAs genes. Mediates recruitment of cytoplasmic dynein to the nuclear envelope, probably as component of the INT complex. (462 aa) | ||||
DNAJA1 | DnaJ homolog subfamily A member 1; Co-chaperone for HSPA8/Hsc70. Stimulates ATP hydrolysis, but not the folding of unfolded proteins mediated by HSPA1A (in vitro). Plays a role in protein transport into mitochondria via its role as co-chaperone. Functions as co- chaperone for HSPA1B and negatively regulates the translocation of BAX from the cytosol to mitochondria in response to cellular stress, thereby protecting cells against apoptosis. Promotes apoptosis in response to cellular stress mediated by exposure to anisomycin or UV. (397 aa) |
