STRINGSTRING
ARF19 protein (Arabidopsis thaliana) - STRING interaction network
"ARF19" - Encodes an auxin response factor that contains the conserved VP1-B3 DNA-binding domain at its N-terminus and the Aux/IAA-like domains III and IV present in most ARFs at its C-terminus. The protein interacts with IAA1 (yeast two hybrid) and other auxin response elements such as ER7 and ER9 (yeast one hybrid). ARF19 protein can complement many aspects of the arf7 mutant phenotype and , together with ARF7, is involved in the response to ethylene. In the arf7 arf19 double mutant, several auxin-responsive genes (e.g. IAA5, LBD16, LBD29 and LBD33) are no longer upregulated by auxin in Arabidopsis thaliana
Nodes:
Network nodes represent proteins
splice isoforms or post-translational modifications are collapsed, i.e. each node represents all the proteins produced by a single, protein-coding gene locus.
Node Color
colored nodes:
query proteins and first shell of interactors
white nodes:
second shell of interactors
Node Content
empty nodes:
proteins of unknown 3D structure
filled nodes:
some 3D structure is known or predicted
Edges:
Edges represent protein-protein associations
associations are meant to be specific and meaningful, i.e. proteins jointly contribute to a shared function; this does not necessarily mean they are physically binding each other.
Known Interactions
from curated databases
experimentally determined
Predicted Interactions
gene neighborhood
gene fusions
gene co-occurrence
Others
textmining
co-expression
protein homology

Predicted Functional Partners:
IAA14
Indole-3-acetic acid inducible 14; Aux/IAA proteins are short-lived transcriptional factors that function as repressors of early auxin response genes at low auxin concentrations. Repression is thought to result from the interaction with auxin response factors (ARFs), proteins that bind to the auxin-responsive promoter element (AuxRE). Formation of heterodimers with ARF proteins may alter their ability to modulate early auxin response genes expression (228 aa)

SHY2
AUX/IAA transcriptional regulator family protein; Aux/IAA proteins are short-lived transcriptional factors that function as repressors of early auxin response genes at low auxin concentrations. Repression is thought to result from the interaction with auxin response factors (ARFs), proteins that bind to the auxin-responsive promoter element (AuxRE). Plays a central role in auxin regulation of root growth, in gravitropism, and in lateral root formation. Regulated by an auxin- induced protein turnover. Formation of heterodimers with ARF proteins may alter their ability to modulate early [...] (189 aa)

  0.920
LBD16
Lateral organ boundaries-domain 16; Transcriptional activator. Involved in lateral root formation. Regulated by the transcriptional activators ARF7 and ARF19. Functions in the initiation and emergence of lateral roots, in conjunction with LBD18, downstream of ARF7 and ARF19. Acts downstream of the auxin influx carriers AUX1 and LAX1 in the regulation of lateral root initiation and development (245 aa)

  0.906
AUX1
Transmembrane amino acid transporter family protein; Carrier protein involved in proton-driven auxin influx. Mediates the formation of auxin gradient from developing leaves (site of auxin biosynthesis) to tips by contributing to the loading of auxin in vascular tissues and facilitating acropetal (base to tip) auxin transport within inner tissues of the root apex, and basipetal (tip to base) auxin transport within outer tissues of the root apex. Unloads auxin from the mature phloem to deliver the hormone to the root meristem via the protophloem cell files. Coordinated subcellular locali [...] (485 aa)

LBD29
Lateral organ boundaries-domain 29; Involved in lateral root formation. Regulated by the transcriptional activators ARF7 and ARF19 (218 aa)

  0.890
TIR1
Protein TRANSPORT INHIBITOR RESPONSE 1; Encodes an auxin receptor that mediates auxin-regulated transcription. It contains leucine-rich repeats and an F-box and interacts with ASK1, ASK2 and AtCUL1 to form SCF-TIR1, an SCF ubiquitin ligase complex. Related to yeast Grr1p and human SKP2 proteins, involved in ubiquitin-mediated processes. Required for normal response to auxin and repressed in response to flagellin. As part of the SCF complex and in the presence of auxin, TIR1 interacts with Aux/IAA transcriptional repressor proteins and mediates their degradation (594 aa)

Repression is thought to result from the interaction with auxin response factors (ARFs), proteins that bind to the auxin-responsive promoter element (AuxRE). Formation of heterodimers with ARF proteins may alter their ability to modulate early auxin response genes expression (168 aa)

Formation of heterodimers with ARF proteins may alter their ability to modulate early auxin response genes expression (239 aa)

IAA8
Indoleacetic acid-induced protein 8; Aux/IAA proteins are short-lived transcriptional factors that function as repressors of early auxin response genes at low auxin concentrations. Repression is thought to result from the interaction with auxin response factors (ARFs), proteins that bind to the auxin-responsive promoter element (AuxRE). Formation of heterodimers with ARF proteins may alter their ability to modulate early auxin response genes expression (338 aa)

AXR3
AUX/IAA transcriptional regulator family protein; Transcription regulator acting as repressor of auxin-inducible gene expression. Auxin-inducible AUX/IAA gene. Short-lived nuclear protein with four conserved domains. Domain III has homology to beta alpha alpha dimerization and DNA binding domains. Involved in auxin signaling. Auxin induces the degradation of the protein in a dosage-dependent manner in a process mediated by AtRac1. Auxin induced the relocalization of the protein within the nucleus from a diffused nucleoplasmic pattern to a discrete particulated pattern named nuclear pro [...] (229 aa)
