STRINGSTRING
STRING protein interaction network
Nodes:
Network nodes represent proteins
splice isoforms or post-translational modifications are collapsed, i.e. each node represents all the proteins produced by a single, protein-coding gene locus.
Node Color
colored nodes:
query proteins and first shell of interactors
white nodes:
second shell of interactors
Node Content
empty nodes:
proteins of unknown 3D structure
filled nodes:
a 3D structure is known or predicted
Edges:
Edges represent protein-protein associations
associations are meant to be specific and meaningful, i.e. proteins jointly contribute to a shared function; this does not necessarily mean they are physically binding to each other.
Known Interactions
from curated databases
experimentally determined
Predicted Interactions
gene neighborhood
gene fusions
gene co-occurrence
Others
textmining
co-expression
protein homology

Ptp69DProtein tyrosine phosphatase 69D (Ptp69D) encodes a transmembrane receptor tyrosine phosphatase (RPTP). It genetically interacts with the other RPTP genes and its mutants have embryonic motor axon guidance phenotypes. In particular, Ptp10D-Ptp69D double mutants have a strong phenotype in which embryonic CNS axons abnormally cross the ventral midline. The product of Ptp69D physically and genetically interacts with the product of Dscam1 to regulate arborization of mechanosensory neurons; Belongs to the protein-tyrosine phosphatase family. Receptor class subfamily. (1462 aa)
Predicted Functional Partners:
Liprin-alpha
Liprin-alpha, isoform E; Liprin-alpha (Liprin-alpha) encodes a scaffolding protein that interacts with the receptor phosphatase Lar. It is involved in synapse morphogenesis and axon guidance.

 0.852
Ptp99A
Protein tyrosine phosphatase 99A (Ptp99A) encodes a transmembrane receptor tyrosine phosphatase. Its single mutants have no known phenotypes, but Ptp99A synergizes with Ptp69D to increase the penetrance of the Ptp69D motor axon defects. Ptp99A mutations also suppress the 'bypass' motor axon phenotype produced by Lar mutations; Belongs to the protein-tyrosine phosphatase family. Receptor class subfamily.

0.758
Ptp10D
Protein tyrosine phosphatase 10D (Ptp10D) encodes a transmembrane receptor tyrosine phosphatase closely related to the product of Ptp4E. Ptp4E-Ptp10D double mutants have lethal respiratory defects. Ptp10D-Ptp69D double mutants have a strong phenotype in which embryonic CNS axons abnormally cross the ventral midline. The product of Ptp10D regulates signaling through the receptor tyrosine kinases encoded by Egfr, btl and Pvr. It also binds to the product of sas to regulate its signaling in glia.

0.736
Sdc
Syndecan (Sdc) encodes a transmembrane heparan sulfate proteoglycan. It binds to the products of sli and robo1 to regulate axon guidance at the CNS midline, and it cooperates with the product of Lar to promote synapse growth at the larval neuromuscular junction.

 0.674
Lar
Tyrosine-protein phosphatase Lar; Possible cell adhesion receptor (Probable). It possesses an intrinsic protein tyrosine phosphatase activity (PTPase). It controls motor axon guidance. In the developing eye, has a role in normal axonal targeting of the R7 photoreceptor, where it negatively regulates bdl. Inhibits bdl cell adhesion activity in vitro; this effect is independent of its PTPase function.

0.671
gogo
Golden goal (gogo) encodes a transmembrane protein involved in axonal pathfinding, especially in axon-axon and axon-target interactions.

 0.669
drk
Protein enhancer of sevenless 2B; Downstream of receptor kinase (drk) encodes an adaptor protein that recognizes phosphorylated tyrosine residues of membrane receptors and triggers the Ras/Raf/MAPK pathway. drk product contributes to the regulation of cytoskeletal organization and participates in developmental and cognitive processes (associative learning, anesthesia resistant memory).

 0.666
otk
Tyrosine-protein kinase-like otk; Acts as a calcium-dependent, homophilic cell adhesion molecule that regulates neural recognition during the development of the nervous system. Component of the repulsive Plexin signaling response to regulate motor axon guidance at the embryonic stage. Also component of a receptor complex that is required in the adult visual system to innervate the lamina layer; specific targeting of R1-R6 axons; Belongs to the protein kinase superfamily. Tyr protein kinase family. Insulin receptor subfamily.

 0.641
pr
6-pyruvoyl tetrahydrobiopterin synthase; Required for pigment and biopterin synthesis. Belongs to the PTPS family.

 0.638
Eph
Eph receptor tyrosine kinase (Eph) encodes an axon guidance molecule involved in the development of the nervous system. It also contributes to shaping the antero-posterior compartment boundary of the wing disc.
