STRINGSTRING
STRING protein interaction network
Nodes:
Network nodes represent proteins
splice isoforms or post-translational modifications are collapsed, i.e. each node represents all the proteins produced by a single, protein-coding gene locus.
Node Color
colored nodes:
query proteins and first shell of interactors
white nodes:
second shell of interactors
Node Content
empty nodes:
proteins of unknown 3D structure
filled nodes:
a 3D structure is known or predicted
Edges:
Edges represent protein-protein associations
associations are meant to be specific and meaningful, i.e. proteins jointly contribute to a shared function; this does not necessarily mean they are physically binding to each other.
Known Interactions
from curated databases
experimentally determined
Predicted Interactions
gene neighborhood
gene fusions
gene co-occurrence
Others
textmining
co-expression
protein homology

ogtmethylated-DNA-protein-cysteine methyltransferase (ogt); Involved in the cellular defense against the biological effects of O6-methylguanine (O6-MeG) and O4-methylthymine (O4-MeT) in DNA. Repairs the methylated nucleobase in DNA by stoichiometrically transferring the methyl group to a cysteine residue in the enzyme. This is a suicide reaction: the enzyme is irreversibly inactivated. (147 aa)

truA
Pseudouridylate synthase I (truA) #; Formation of pseudouridine at positions 38, 39 and 40 in the anticodon stem and loop of transfer RNAs; Belongs to the tRNA pseudouridine synthase TruA family.

 0.585
nth
Endonuclease III (nth); DNA repair enzyme that has both DNA N-glycosylase activity and AP-lyase activity. The DNA N-glycosylase activity releases various damaged pyrimidines from DNA by cleaving the N-glycosidic bond, leaving an AP (apurinic/apyrimidinic) site. The AP-lyase activity cleaves the phosphodiester bond 3' to the AP site by a beta-elimination, leaving a 3'-terminal unsaturated sugar and a product with a terminal 5'- phosphate.

 0.582
rnp3
Conserved hypothetical protein; Part of ribonuclease P, a protein complex that generates mature tRNA molecules by cleaving their 5'-ends; Belongs to the eukaryotic/archaeal RNase P protein component 3 family.
       0.558
AF_2318
Conserved hypothetical protein; Similar to GB:L77117 SP:Q57666 PID:1498989 percent identity: 38.13; identified by sequence similarity; putative.
