STRINGSTRING
STRING protein interaction network
Nodes:
Network nodes represent proteins
splice isoforms or post-translational modifications are collapsed, i.e. each node represents all the proteins produced by a single, protein-coding gene locus.
Node Color
colored nodes:
query proteins and first shell of interactors
white nodes:
second shell of interactors
Node Content
empty nodes:
proteins of unknown 3D structure
filled nodes:
a 3D structure is known or predicted
Edges:
Edges represent protein-protein associations
associations are meant to be specific and meaningful, i.e. proteins jointly contribute to a shared function; this does not necessarily mean they are physically binding to each other.

rnpARibonuclease P protein component; RNaseP catalyzes the removal of the 5'-leader sequence from pre-tRNA to produce the mature 5'-terminus. It can also cleave other RNA substrates such as 4.5S RNA. The protein component plays an auxiliary but essential role in vivo by binding to the 5'-leader sequence and broadening the substrate specificity of the ribozyme. (81 aa)
Predicted Functional Partners:
Cla_0551
Conserved hypothetical protein (DUF37 domain protein); Could be involved in insertion of integral membrane proteins into the membrane; Belongs to the UPF0161 family.

 0.982
oxaA
60 kDa inner-membrane protein; Required for the insertion and/or proper folding and/or complex formation of integral membrane proteins into the membrane. Involved in integration of membrane proteins that insert both dependently and independently of the Sec translocase complex, as well as at least some lipoproteins. Aids folding of multispanning membrane proteins.

 0.979
rpmH
Pfam match to PF00468.8 Ribosomal_L34; Belongs to the bacterial ribosomal protein bL34 family.

 0.964
Cla_0549
Conserved hypothetical protein.

 0.940
rplC
Pfam match to PF00297.13 Ribosomal_L3.

 0.889
rpsJ
30S ribosomal protein S10; Involved in the binding of tRNA to the ribosomes. Belongs to the universal ribosomal protein uS10 family.

    0.880
rplD
50S ribosomal protein L4; One of the primary rRNA binding proteins, this protein initially binds near the 5'-end of the 23S rRNA. It is important during the early stages of 50S assembly. It makes multiple contacts with different domains of the 23S rRNA in the assembled 50S subunit and ribosome.

 0.876
rpsT
30S ribosomal protein S20; Binds directly to 16S ribosomal RNA.

    0.865
rpsL
30S ribosomal protein S12; With S4 and S5 plays an important role in translational accuracy.

    0.860
trmE
tRNA modification GTPase, TrmE; Exhibits a very high intrinsic GTPase hydrolysis rate. Involved in the addition of a carboxymethylaminomethyl (cmnm) group at the wobble position (U34) of certain tRNAs, forming tRNA- cmnm(5)s(2)U34; Belongs to the TRAFAC class TrmE-Era-EngA-EngB-Septin-like GTPase superfamily. TrmE GTPase family.
