STRINGSTRING
STRING protein interaction network
Nodes:
Network nodes represent proteins
splice isoforms or post-translational modifications are collapsed, i.e. each node represents all the proteins produced by a single, protein-coding gene locus.
Node Color
colored nodes:
query proteins and first shell of interactors
white nodes:
second shell of interactors
Node Content
empty nodes:
proteins of unknown 3D structure
filled nodes:
a 3D structure is known or predicted
Edges:
Edges represent protein-protein associations
associations are meant to be specific and meaningful, i.e. proteins jointly contribute to a shared function; this does not necessarily mean they are physically binding to each other.

nthPutative endonuclease III; DNA repair enzyme that has both DNA N-glycosylase activity and AP-lyase activity. The DNA N-glycosylase activity releases various damaged pyrimidines from DNA by cleaving the N-glycosidic bond, leaving an AP (apurinic/apyrimidinic) site. The AP-lyase activity cleaves the phosphodiester bond 3' to the AP site by a beta-elimination, leaving a 3'-terminal unsaturated sugar and a product with a terminal 5'- phosphate. (249 aa)
Predicted Functional Partners:
xth
Exodeoxyribonuclease III; KEGG: cac:CAC0222 5.5e-108 exoA; exodeoxyribonuclease (exoA) K01142; COG: COG0708 Exonuclease III; Psort location: Cytoplasmic, score: 9.98.

 0.993
rnfE
Electron transport complex, RnfABCDGE type, E subunit; Part of a membrane-bound complex that couples electron transfer with translocation of ions across the membrane.

    0.896
nfo
Apurinic endonuclease (APN1); Endonuclease IV plays a role in DNA repair. It cleaves phosphodiester bonds at apurinic or apyrimidinic sites (AP sites) to produce new 5'-ends that are base-free deoxyribose 5-phosphate residues. It preferentially attacks modified AP sites created by bleomycin and neocarzinostatin.

 0.847
polA
DNA-directed DNA polymerase; In addition to polymerase activity, this DNA polymerase exhibits 5'-3' exonuclease activity.

 0.811
EDR47280.1
Hypothetical protein; Psort location: Cytoplasmic, score: 8.87.
       0.773
EDR47279.1
Putative cob(I)yrinic acid a,c-diamide adenosyltransferase; KEGG: cpr:CPR_1875 1.4e-31 cob(I)alamin adenosyltransferase, putative K00798; COG: COG2109 ATP:corrinoid adenosyltransferase; Psort location: Cytoplasmic, score: 9.98.
       0.744
ung
uracil-DNA glycosylase; Excises uracil residues from the DNA which can arise as a result of misincorporation of dUMP residues by DNA polymerase or due to deamination of cytosine.

 0.626
mutY
KEGG: lin:lin1797 3.1e-73 similar to A/G-specific adenine glycosylase K03575; COG: COG1194 A/G-specific DNA glycosylase; Psort location: Cytoplasmic, score: 8.87; Belongs to the SfsA family.

0.608
mutL
DNA mismatch repair domain protein; This protein is involved in the repair of mismatches in DNA. It is required for dam-dependent methyl-directed DNA mismatch repair. May act as a 'molecular matchmaker', a protein that promotes the formation of a stable complex between two or more DNA-binding proteins in an ATP-dependent manner without itself being part of a final effector complex.

 0.598
rnfG
Electron transport complex, RnfABCDGE type, G subunit; Part of a membrane-bound complex that couples electron transfer with translocation of ions across the membrane. Belongs to the RnfG family.
