STRINGSTRING
STRING protein interaction network
Nodes:
Network nodes represent proteins
splice isoforms or post-translational modifications are collapsed, i.e. each node represents all the proteins produced by a single, protein-coding gene locus.
Node Color
colored nodes:
query proteins and first shell of interactors
white nodes:
second shell of interactors
Node Content
empty nodes:
proteins of unknown 3D structure
filled nodes:
a 3D structure is known or predicted
Edges:
Edges represent protein-protein associations
associations are meant to be specific and meaningful, i.e. proteins jointly contribute to a shared function; this does not necessarily mean they are physically binding to each other.
Known Interactions
from curated databases
experimentally determined
Predicted Interactions
gene neighborhood
gene fusions
gene co-occurrence
Others
textmining
co-expression
protein homology

lspALipoprotein signal peptidase; This protein specifically catalyzes the removal of signal peptides from prolipoproteins; Belongs to the peptidase A8 family. (150 aa)
Predicted Functional Partners:
Athe_1372
Pseudouridine synthase, RluA family; Responsible for synthesis of pseudouridine from uracil. Belongs to the pseudouridine synthase RluA family.

    0.888
lgt
Prolipoprotein diacylglyceryl transferase; Catalyzes the transfer of the diacylglyceryl group from phosphatidylglycerol to the sulfhydryl group of the N-terminal cysteine of a prolipoprotein, the first step in the formation of mature lipoproteins; Belongs to the Lgt family.

 0.746
ileS
isoleucyl-tRNA synthetase; Catalyzes the attachment of isoleucine to tRNA(Ile). As IleRS can inadvertently accommodate and process structurally similar amino acids such as valine, to avoid such errors it has two additional distinct tRNA(Ile)-dependent editing activities. One activity is designated as 'pretransfer' editing and involves the hydrolysis of activated Val-AMP. The other activity is designated 'posttransfer' editing and involves deacylation of mischarged Val-tRNA(Ile). Belongs to the class-I aminoacyl-tRNA synthetase family. IleS type 1 subfamily.

Athe_2740
KEGG: csc:Csac_0020 diguanylate cyclase/phosphodiesterase with PAS/PAC and GAF sensor(s); TIGRFAM: diguanylate cyclase; PAS sensor protein; PFAM: EAL domain protein; PAS fold-3 domain protein; GGDEF domain containing protein; extracellular solute-binding protein family 3; PAS fold-4 domain protein; PAS fold domain protein; SMART: EAL domain protein; GGDEF domain containing protein; PAC repeat-containing protein; extracellular solute-binding protein family 3; PAS domain containing protein.

 0.638
Athe_1370
KEGG: hypothetical protein.
       0.625
ispH
Hydroxymethylbutenyl pyrophosphate reductase; Catalyzes the conversion of 1-hydroxy-2-methyl-2-(E)-butenyl 4-diphosphate (HMBPP) into a mixture of isopentenyl diphosphate (IPP) and dimethylallyl diphosphate (DMAPP). Acts in the terminal step of the DOXP/MEP pathway for isoprenoid precursor biosynthesis. Belongs to the IspH family.

 0.610
pyrR
Uracil phosphoribosyltransferase; Regulates transcriptional attenuation of the pyrimidine nucleotide (pyr) operon by binding in a uridine-dependent manner to specific sites on pyr mRNA. This disrupts an antiterminator hairpin in the RNA and favors formation of a downstream transcription terminator, leading to a reduced expression of downstream genes. Belongs to the purine/pyrimidine phosphoribosyltransferase family. PyrR subfamily.

    0.596
rbfA
Ribosome-binding factor A; One of several proteins that assist in the late maturation steps of the functional core of the 30S ribosomal subunit. Associates with free 30S ribosomal subunits (but not with 30S subunits that are part of 70S ribosomes or polysomes). Required for efficient processing of 16S rRNA. May interact with the 5'-terminal helix region of 16S rRNA.

Athe_1374
TIGRFAM: uracil-xanthine permease; PFAM: Xanthine/uracil/vitamin C permease; KEGG: csc:Csac_1930 uracil-xanthine permease.
       0.554
secY
Preprotein translocase, SecY subunit; The central subunit of the protein translocation channel SecYEG. Consists of two halves formed by TMs 1-5 and 6-10. These two domains form a lateral gate at the front which open onto the bilayer between TMs 2 and 7, and are clamped together by SecE at the back. The channel is closed by both a pore ring composed of hydrophobic SecY resides and a short helix (helix 2A) on the extracellular side of the membrane which forms a plug. The plug probably moves laterally to allow the channel to open. The ring and the pore may move independently.
