STRINGSTRING
STRING protein interaction network
Nodes:
Network nodes represent proteins
splice isoforms or post-translational modifications are collapsed, i.e. each node represents all the proteins produced by a single, protein-coding gene locus.
Node Color
colored nodes:
query proteins and first shell of interactors
white nodes:
second shell of interactors
Node Content
empty nodes:
proteins of unknown 3D structure
filled nodes:
a 3D structure is known or predicted
Edges:
Edges represent protein-protein associations
associations are meant to be specific and meaningful, i.e. proteins jointly contribute to a shared function; this does not necessarily mean they are physically binding to each other.

mcaMycothiol conjugate amidase; A mycothiol (MSH, N-acetylcysteinyl-glucosaminyl-inositol) S- conjugate amidase, it recycles conjugated MSH to the N-acetyl cysteine conjugate (AcCys S-conjugate, a mercapturic acid) and the MSH precursor. Involved in MSH-dependent detoxification of a number of alkylating agents and antibiotics; Belongs to the MshB deacetylase family. Mca subfamily. (296 aa)
Predicted Functional Partners:
mshD
MshD acetyltransferase; Catalyzes the transfer of acetyl from acetyl-CoA to desacetylmycothiol (Cys-GlcN-Ins) to form mycothiol.

 0.869
ACP32523.1
Putative membrane protein.
       0.834
mshA
MshA glycosyltransferase; Catalyzes the transfer of a N-acetyl-glucosamine moiety to 1D-myo-inositol 3-phosphate to produce 1D-myo-inositol 2-acetamido-2- deoxy-glucopyranoside 3-phosphate in the mycothiol biosynthesis pathway.

 0.810
uppS1
Undecaprenyl pyrophosphate synthase; Catalyzes the condensation of isopentenyl diphosphate (IPP) with allylic pyrophosphates generating different type of terpenoids.
       0.787
ACP33624.1
Hypothetical protein.

    0.779
mshC
MshC ligase; Catalyzes the ATP-dependent condensation of GlcN-Ins and L- cysteine to form L-Cys-GlcN-Ins; Belongs to the class-I aminoacyl-tRNA synthetase family. MshC subfamily.

 0.715
ACP32156.1
Hypothetical protein.

     0.698
ACP32387.1
Glutaredoxin and related proteins.

 0.694
ACP32521.1
Putative membrane protein.
       0.677
greA
Transcription elongation factor; Necessary for efficient RNA polymerase transcription elongation past template-encoded arresting sites. The arresting sites in DNA have the property of trapping a certain fraction of elongating RNA polymerases that pass through, resulting in locked ternary complexes. Cleavage of the nascent transcript by cleavage factors such as GreA or GreB allows the resumption of elongation from the new 3'terminus. GreA releases sequences of 2 to 3 nucleotides.
