Nodes:
Network nodes represent proteins
splice isoforms or post-translational modifications are collapsed, i.e. each node represents all the proteins produced by a single, protein-coding gene locus.
Node Color
colored nodes:
query proteins and first shell of interactors
white nodes:
second shell of interactors
Node Content
empty nodes:
proteins of unknown 3D structure
filled nodes:
a 3D structure is known or predicted
Edges:
Edges represent protein-protein associations
associations are meant to be specific and meaningful, i.e. proteins jointly contribute to a shared function; this does not necessarily mean they are physically binding to each other.

DECR2Peroxisomal 2,4-dienoyl-CoA reductase; Auxiliary enzyme of beta-oxidation. Participates in the degradation of unsaturated fatty enoyl-CoA esters having double bonds in both even- and odd-numbered positions in peroxisome. Catalyzes the NADP-dependent reduction of 2,4-dienoyl-CoA to yield trans-3-enoyl-CoA. Has activity towards short and medium chain 2,4-dienoyl-CoAs, but also towards 2,4,7,10,13,16,19-docosaheptaenoyl-CoA, suggesting that it does not constitute a rate limiting step in the peroxisomal degradation of docosahexaenoic acid. (292 aa)
Predicted Functional Partners:
PEX5
Peroxisomal targeting signal 1 receptor; Binds to the C-terminal PTS1-type tripeptide peroxisomal targeting signal (SKL-type) and plays an essential role in peroxisomal protein import.

 0.918
NUDCD1
NudC domain containing 1.

   0.904
ACOX1
Peroxisomal acyl-CoA oxidase 1, A chain; Catalyzes the desaturation of acyl-CoAs to 2-trans-enoyl-CoAs. Isoform 1 shows highest activity against medium-chain fatty acyl-CoAs and activity decreases with increasing chain length. Isoform 2 is active against a much broader range of substrates and shows activity towards very long-chain acyl-CoAs. Isoform 2 is twice as active as isoform 1 against 16-hydroxy-palmitoyl-CoA and is 25% more active against 1,16-hexadecanodioyl-CoA.

 0.786
HSD17B4
Peroxisomal multifunctional enzyme type 2; Bifunctional enzyme acting on the peroxisomal beta-oxidation pathway for fatty acids. Catalyzes the formation of 3-ketoacyl-CoA intermediates from both straight-chain and 2-methyl-branched-chain fatty acids.

 0.786
EHHADH
Enoyl-CoA hydratase/3,2-trans-enoyl-CoA isomerase; enoyl-CoA hydratase and 3-hydroxyacyl CoA dehydrogenase; In the C-terminal section; belongs to the 3-hydroxyacyl-CoA dehydrogenase family.

 0.721
SCP2
Non-specific lipid-transfer protein; Mediates in vitro the transfer of all common phospholipids, cholesterol and gangliosides between membranes. May play a role in regulating steroidogenesis.

 0.705
ACAA1
3-ketoacyl-CoA thiolase, peroxisomal; acetyl-CoA acyltransferase 1; Belongs to the thiolase-like superfamily. Thiolase family.

 0.681
ECI2
Enoyl-CoA delta isomerase 2, mitochondrial; Able to isomerize both 3-cis and 3-trans double bonds into the 2-trans form in a range of enoyl-CoA species. Has a preference for 3-trans substrates (By similarity).

 0.651
SESTD1
SEC14 domain and spectrin repeat-containing protein 1; May act as the primary docking protein directing membrane turnover and assembly of the transient receptor potential channels TRPC4 and TRPC5. Binds phospholipids such as phosphatidylinositol monophosphates, phosphatidylinositol diphosphates (PIP2s) and phosphatidic acid, but not less polar lipids including phosphatidylcholine, phosphatidylserine, and phosphatidylinositol. The binding to PIP2s is calcium dependent. Might be involved in the plasma membrane localization of CTNNB1.

 0.642
ECI1
Enoyl-CoA delta isomerase 1, mitochondrial; Able to isomerize both 3-cis and 3-trans double bonds into the 2-trans form in a range of enoyl-CoA species.
